HP provided software can be downloaded here. This tutorial will utilise Ubuntu software repository.
Install hplip software:
sudo apt install hplip hplip-gui
Configure HP printer:
hp-setup
For an USB printer:
hp-setup -b usb
For a network printer:
hp-setup <ip-address>
Alternatively, setup a network printer using FQDN:
hp-setup <fqdn-address>
HP Device Manager casn be accessed via:
hp-toolbox
